Are you choosing yourself today?
Are you choosing to put yourself before everyone else?
I know that's a weird thing to hear we come from a society that says well take care of others first, put yourself last. But the truth is and I've discovered this and I think many people have discovered this that the greatest way to impact and create massive change and value in the world is to first do it for yourself. Who do you need to be today? Like what do you need to do to take care of yourself? Is it a rest day? Is a recovery day? Do you need go for a walk? Do you need to go to therapy? Do you need to schedule that appointment you've been putting off, that trip to the doctor you've been putting off? Where are you at today? What are your needs? What are your wants? What are your interest? How can you choose yourself before anyone else today?
I know that's a difficult prospect now we get so caught up in it and we're like yeah, but I can take care of me tomorrow and the truth is if you don't take care of yourself first, right? Even on the hard days you do it any way you show up you take care of yourself, if you don't take care of yourself first who will?
The way to really think about that for a moment if you're not taking care of yourself first who's gonna do it for you? And so, I want you to think about choosing yourself this week. As we head into this week, as we head into the new month, as we head into what's next this year for you in this journey, what do you need? How do you need to show up, and who do you need to be for yourself? Because I promise you you're gonna be able to better serve your family, your friends, your community and everyone around you if you choose to put yourself first. So just wanna plan a seat for you today, “choose you”
